“How is the filter maintained for this model. Does it require manual cleaning or is there an automatic cleaning function for it?”

• Manual cleaning. Very easy to twist&pull it out from the bottom of the tub. THere is no built-in disposal though so in general, make sure not to put any chunks of food in.
