Ive been using my 800 Series SHX68T55UC for about 3 weeks. When i open and close the dishwasher, it continues on its own with out having to press start

Hi there, thank you for your question. You are able to open the door to interrupt a cycle. Once the door is open, press the on/off button. The LED’s go out and the wash cycle is saved. You then can add your additional items. To continue the wash cycle, the on/off button will need to be pressed again prior to closing the door.
