“The quick start guide under "Causes of Damage" says, "Detergent will destroy the water softening system! Never pour detergent into the salt dispenser." What is it talking about? I couldn't find "salt dispenser" or "water softening system" anywhere else.”

• Typo? Did you find the right manual online? Mine doesn't have a salt dispenser or a water softening system either.

• Hi WhatSaltDispenser, thank you for your question. Model:SHPM78Z54N does not contain a water softening system. We do have other models that do have a water softening system. Since this is a Quick Start Guide it does cover more than one model.
