• I know it means buying another product, but if your workplace is noisy I'd leave the speaker at home and buy noise canceling bluetooth headphones. I bet you'll be really pleased!

• Tony, not sure what type of bluetooth device you are using, but if the volume level of the speaker is not loud enough, try turning up the volume level on your bluetooth device. This may solve your concern. Also helps to adjust your device's equalizer's settings to improve the sound quality.
