I was able to use with a Samsung S5. The limitation appears to be with using the "call" feature. This wasn't a concern of mine. The earbuds work great for music.

can be used with Android phones, but you will not have full functionality of the in-line microphone and remote.

They're earphones. Of course you can use them on android. You can use them on anything with a 3.5mm jack.
