While we can't comment on how much bass you would consider to be "a lot of bass", we can confirm that the bass for sources can be clearly heard and played. We would recommend looking at the equaliser/audio options of the source you are using if you would like to adjust this independently. 
We would recommend listening to these in a store when these are released to ensure that you are happy with the audio quality that these provide!

I found no discernible difference between the 700s & the QC35s. Maybe an Audiophile will notice....
