Using the Bose app on your smart phone or tablet, you can adjust the bass, front and rear levels (if you have the wireless surrounds) and really tailor the directional sound to your liking. Like all Bose products you get good bass at low to mid volumes and the bass starts to really overpower everything at the higher levels. Again, plenty of bass is possible, but you do sacrifice some of the nuances and subtlety if you crank up the bass and the volume both.
