No, the sleep buds is to wear them with provided ambient noise so you can relax and sleep. Best purchase ever !

Nope. All they essentially do is loop play calming ambient sounds which you can choose from a library of roughly 15 separate tracks. All of the tracks have a light white noise (not sound cancelling) overlay which helps to reduce external sounds. Pretty much good for sleeping, and at least a slight reduction in distractions from environmental sounds.
