• Hello! These QC35 II headphones are compatible with almost all devices that support Bluetooth version 4.1, and that uses either the AAC or SBC Bluetooth codecs. What this means for you is that this is compatible with the iPhone 8 that you have mentioned, although we would advise reducing or turning off the noise-cancelling if near traffic, so that your husband can hear his surroundings clearly. • Yes, however if walking in the street it is better to cancel the "noise canceling" so he can hear the cars coming near him.
