I found the comfort much better with Bose standing behind their product the wear and tear would never become an issue.

Not sure what Beats padding feels like and have only owned the Bose for several months however the Bose padding seems very durable and comfortable with average use. I don’t use them for any activity such as exercise or mowing the lawn. Just use them as casual headphone ie. traveling on a plane and around the house.

I had a set of QC35 headphones used extensively over two years without any degradation of the padding. I would highly recommend them over the Beats. I had Beats in the past and there is really no comparison. The Bose are far superior headphones.
