“Does this version correct the crackling issue reported in many reviews of the previous product?”

• It does address that issue quite admirably. I had that problem with the previous product also. I even expressed it in a review. I must say someone was listening and it was taken seriously.

• Never used the previous version but I have not experienced and crackling with these are all.

• There is no crackling. I had a pop when I first used them with noise cancelation a few times while I was switching modes but hadn't happened again.
