“Would this speaker be good for watching tv? I need something that I can hear the voices better. Our sound bar we have now isn't cutting it. Would one do the trick?”

No. The Bose 500 is a great speaker. But not really made to be used as a tv speaker. I recommend a ZVOX av200 series. It's small but has a great accuvoice feature for hearing dialogue on tv shows and movie's
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it does. The Bose app makes it easy to balance the sound when a movie is playing. It is not going to be a Pro surround sound system, but you would feel the difference. Everyone is thirsty for sound differently. It all depends on what type of sound you want from a movie. Movies like Action or horror needs a Pro sound system in a volume range of 30 to 40 ;) which this Bose (500) can't do it!
