• Did you hold down the Bluetooth button (until it connects) on the speaker and hit the Bluetooth button on the phone?

• If it has Bluetooth capability, then the answer is yes. You will have to find the syncing directions for your phone and follow the recommended pairing procedure. It should't be too difficult if you have paired other Bluetooth devices, but it sounds like the phone's pairing setup is where you need to focus on. Hopefully this helps get you connected. Without knowing what phone you have, I don't have much to work with.
