• It has a USB port to charge it, but if you want to use the USB port to send the audio signal, it is not set up for that. However, there is an AUX port that you can use to send audio into the speaker from a device that is not bluetooth.

• It has that mini-USB port for the purpose of recharging the battery. I don't know if I could feed it music from my desktop for it to play using that USB cord. I doubt it -- but then, it does have a stereo-in plug (headphone plug) in the back that looks like I could feed music that way.
