Yes: has a battery "symbol" to show you if its low and needs charging. Charge last about 4 hours

The speaker comes with the charger, and a charge lasts a long time. No batteries to replace.

Yes - it does need to be charged. It holds a charge for 8 hours and charges pretty quickly.

Yes, it needs to be charged and it comes with an ac adapter. It seems like it plays for hours without needing a charge however.
