How good is the sound quality when not plugged in? Is there a big difference on how loud the speaker is when it is plugged in and when it is not? A lot of speakers when not plugged in are less powerful. Is this the case with this speaker too?

The quality is just as good when not plugged in at a range of approx. 10 ft, any distance greater and I've found that there is more interference with the blue tooth connection.
