go to Auto time out in settings and RESET the speaker to automatically time out from 5 minutes to never or 6 or 8 hours whatever you choose, mine would shut OFF Automatically in 5 minutes when I 1st got it., shutting for no reason, Until I reset it to time out automatically in 4 hours, try that hope it helps its probably not the battery
