Yes. Once the speaker is paired with your phone, your caller can be heard through the Bose speaker....
Obviously, your cell phone speaker will allow you to carry on the conversation.

Hello!
You can use this speaker as the audio output for a phone when on phone calls, and this will also act as the microphone for this as well.
You would be able to pair this directly to a phone through Bluetooth or AUX, then select this as the speaker for phone calls.
