It really depends on the laptop. You might need to click on the Bluetooth tab to repair.

Hi BGB, thank you for your question! You will need to turn the speaker on as well but it will automatically look for the last device it was connected to and should make the connection.

No, you need to pair it again once you've open the laptop.
