What's "new" about this one? null

The primary benefit of this speaker over the previous generation is the addition of the speaker phone feature for taking/making calls.

This speaker produces a clear, rich sound. It makes my music sound as if I am sitting in the room with the artist.

I bought it for Bose quality and chose this over the original Bose Soundlink Color because this product is "water resistant" and we use it at the beach

It all depends on what you are comparing against. If you are comparing with previous version, then this speaker is water resistant and sound quality improved

Nothing new, been out for some time. Great product.
