• It might lessen the noise and make it less noticeable but it won't cancel it. I use mine when I mow and you can definitely hear the mower.

• While it will dampen the noise, it will not get rid of the engine noise outright. If you want a better chance of that you are better getting the noise canceling version.

• You don't need to get the noise canceling, I think this product is good enough and blocks out the noise. don't spend more money
