These headphones were engineered to connect to mobile devices and/or computers wirelessly, using Bluetooth. You need to be connected to the internet to listen to music, I bought this Bose sound link headphones for my husband, he loves it, the sound is just perfect. He loves to listen music on Pandora connected to his cell phone.
