These can be good for conference calls between the computer and the phone, but, they can get sweaty around your ears for a long time. There is no mute button on these.

The wireless headset is compatible with any mobile device that supports Bluetooth version 2.1 or later and A2DP to provide audio, and comes with an in-built microphone. There is no mute button for this headset to mute the microphone, but this can be disabled easily from most programs, such as Skype (as you mentioned). A device that supports HFP (Hands Free Profile), will enable the microphone for occasional phone calls and/or voice recognition. Depending on the computer, you can also use the 2.5mm-to-3.5mm stereo audio cable for connecting this up. Lastly, provided both your mobile device and the computer are compatible you shouldn't have any issues with swapping between these. We hope this helps!
