You could use Velcro to mount this speaker to the dashboard in you car. I think that you would be pleased with the quality of the sound. The speaker is only located on the front of the product.

It's possible. Speaker comes with a fat band that one could wrap around something, but it is removable. One would need another method of attachment. The backside is flat and smooth. Speaker is on front side only.
