• Right now the Sound Link Mini 2 is selling for $20 more than the original. If it's new and you have a reception you can exchange it if you pay the difference. I will warn you that in my experience the original has deeper sound and is louder, so I wouldn't exchange it. Also battery life was same or worse with the 2 in my experience (contrary to what is advertised)

• No you cannot. The soundlink 2 is 20 dollars more expensive

• Only if you purchased the 2 year insurance when you bought it. If so, just re box the speaker and take paperwork to store and tell them you would like to redeem the insurance because of a performance issue.
