Bose has two models. One for Android and one for Apple. My brother bought the Apple ones for his Galaxy S8+ and the microphone buttons did not work. As long as you pay attention to the packaging and get the right ones they will work. I do not use windows phones so I could not tell you how the headphones work for them.

Hello RamWaley, thank you for your question. This is true. The way the contacts on the connector are arranged varies by manufacturer. Essentially, Apple uses a different arrangement than most other companies. The Android version has the most industry-wide acceptance. These are made specifically for Android or Apple look at the package. if there's a green little guy on the package then that one's made for Android. Seeing iPod iPad Etc then that is the one for the Apple phone. Hope this helps
