The volume on the Bose 30 is great. I live in a space of about 4500 sq ft and I can have my speaker sitting downstairs in a completely different area and I can still here the music clearly. The output on this speaker is great. However, it's not light weight so you might want to leave it in one location. I also have it paired with a soundbar which increases the intensity of the sound.

The sound of the Bose SoundTouch 30 is better and phenomenal. The output is clear and crisp. I have the system upstairs and I can hear it clearly downstairs with the volume just at 50%.
