Yes. The plug on that end is a proprietary cable though (it's slightly smaller than the standard 3.5mm headphone jack on the other end of the cable).

Yes, The wire connects at both ends, on the left ear and also at the source. This came in handy the other day when I walked thru the kitchen and the wire got caught on the top of a dining table chair... and instead of my iPhone or headphones flying to the floor, the wire disconnected and all was saved.

yes, from the left ear cup. Its special to the model, so you cant add another style of cable of your choosing.
