“I bought these to use when flying. One reviewer said they cannot be used in the ports provided by the airlines as they may overheat. Is that true? I want to use these headphones to watch movies on airplanes. I saw one reviewer state that these could catch fire if plugged Into the port provided by the airline. Is this true? Are they safe to Use? This is my only use for the headphones”

I've never heard of the regular headphones having that problem. Could they have meant the noise-cancelling ones? Call Bose. I have always found then to be very helpful plus these are warranted for a year.

There is a disclaimer in the manual which states not to use mobile phone adapters to connect headphones to airplane seat jacks as it may cause overheating. Most airplanes have standard 3.5mm headphone connections now so an adapter would not be needed. Thanks!
