Sound quality is great for open earbuds but the microphone does not sound great to callers and you have to speak loud enough for the headphones to pick up your voice.

The low volume is a well known, and documented problem with Bose headphones. I've owned 4 pairs, and they all have the same problem. Bose will not address the issue, and will always claim its your device's issue. Unless you are in a very quiet spot, you cannot hear the other caller at max volume. Bose does not care to fix the issue.

The sound clarity is really good but what I do find is that you have to talk a bit more loudly so that the other person can hear you.

I purchase one a while ago, I was very disappointed with the sound, due to was not very loud sound, so in the gym with all the noise, was not what I was looking for, but first I thaugh was taking care of my hearring, at the end we all finish with earring problem due to frequent loud music so I decided to keep it but days later I realized, if you use it backward, I mean with the control botton in the upper side, internally the speaker is more aligned, at least on my case!!!, to my internal ear and the sound is much better, so I got in love with them again!!!, because, is the best design for my ears, so comfortable. That's my experience!!!,, it doesn't mean may be the same for others!!

If you are concerned about call quality,nothing can beat the shokz open ear dots. Calls are super high quality. Both are great in the sound department, however shokz could run circles on Bose for overall performance.

I bought these because they didn't have the QuietComfort ultra in black. The sound for music is excellent, but microphone quality is terrible. Unable to use phone unless speaking loudly.
