How wide a smartphone will this fit, horizontally? null

The phone holder will expand to 3.5". It's a tight fit at that. 3.25 would be a safer call unless it's in a case to give the phone more rigidity. The tension is pretty strong when stretched to the max. Minimum width is 2.25"
