Yes, it is quite easy to clean. I am quite diligent about cleaning the unit as soon as possible after use and not waiting until the grease is baked in. Keep in mind that the oven is hot! Follow manufacturer's instruction on how to clean, like not spraying cleaner to the surface of oven, use a sponge instead and not touching the quartz heating elements. You'll be fine.

In particular, it has a drip tray in the bottom, which pulls out from the front like a drawer. I've never had one with that feature before and found it a pleasant surprise since I was unaware of the feature and mostly selected this model for its size and Breville's positive reputation.
