Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This was a question I had and tested. You can connect the device to any wifi or phone hotspot. Then the photos sent from the app are downloaded You can then disconnect the wifi (moving the frame to a location without wifi or disconnecting your phone) and it will play the already downloaded pics on the 8gb internal memory. It looks like the uploaded photos are queued in the cloud and held until the frame goes online again. My plan is to send pics to my moms frame from my phone (frame set up under my account) and then when I’m visiting connect the frame to my phones hotspot to download newly updated photos. She can then see those downloaded pics until my next visit and connect the frame to download newly sent pics
