“Does this scanner auto scale to the size of the photo or do all scanned images appear on a letter size page”

The scanner autodetects the size of the original... You shouldn't get any white borders at all (or maybe just a small margin)

Auto scans and auto sizes. It scans on both sides as well. I believe it defaults to that but there are numerous other features that you can turn on or off, like auto orientation...it's a really fancy and smart device. Nice job Bro!

I found that the scans result in 8.5 x 11 sheets. But you can enlarge or reduce the image to be scanned.

No, it doesn’t. You have to use the software to pick the size you want.
