Yes, over the range microwaves can effectively reduce smoke and odor in the air while you're cooking on your stovetop.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.mine is above my stove and it isn't vented outside or in the attic, so it vents within the unit. With that being said it vents just like every other microwave that isn't vented outside or in the attic etc. Hope this makes since.
