Hi Anita, thanks for your question! Yes, this microwave can be installed over a gas range! We're finding that page 6 of this microwave's installation instructions provide the mounting space dimensions for this unit to be properly installed. The bottom of the above cabinets need to be at least 30" from the cooking surface. We'd recommend taking a look at the diagram mentioned on page 6 if you have any other questions about the mounting space needed for this model. We hope that this helps! Stay safe. -Michael
