Purchased in July and due to a remodel we just plugged it up mid August. The freezer this past week twice has ice caked all throughout the trays. We have ensured the doors are closed. Has anyone else had this issue? What could be the cause? null

What is the temperature setting? I have not had an issue.
It did take me a couple of days to understand the different temperature setting for the freeze and the refrigerator drawer.

Hi, thanks for asking. We're sorry you're having trouble with ice buildup in the freezer and we'd like to help. When this happens, it could be from not having enough food in the freezer. Food load is an important factor. This compartment should ideally be at least 1/2 full or more. Freezing is more likely to occur when there is not enough food to absorb the cold air. This could also be caused by items being too close to the thermister, which gives a false temperature. Try moving items 6 inches away from the thermister should improve temperature consistency.
