This range is designed with a very helpful Fast Preheat feature, that is accomplished by running the bake and broil elements simultaneously to quickly heat the oven! This adds an additional 950 watts to the power and applies an optimum balance of heat. - For this range, the Audible Preheat Signal will turn on at about 5-7 minutes. This indicates that the oven is not at the set temperature but is hot enough to add most items that require a pre-heated oven. When installed at its proper voltage, this range takes approximately 7-10 minutes to fully preheat. This time varies depending on the selected temperature, as every 25 degree increment above 350 set temperature will add approximately 45-60 seconds to preheat time. This range features multiple cooking modes which use different preheat methods to heat the oven for the specific cooking mode. Some modes, such as Convection Bake, will take slightly longer than others. - We hope that this information is helpful for you! If you are asking about steam, then you may want to invest in an over the range microwave or vent hood to help with water getting on the backsplash. Since this model has a radiant glass cooktop, there shouldn't be a ton of heat rising from the burners, unlike a gas cooktop.
