“The stainless flat top piece of the control panel has small scratches on it from removing the grates.. I have heard that you cannot repair scratches on stainless steel that have been coated with a clear/epoxy coating. Is this model coated?”

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi - We are sorry to hear you're having issues with scratches on the stainless finish of your beautiful Café range. The stainless finish on your range is not coated. Cleaners that contain Oxalic Acid, such as Bar Keepers Friend Soft Cleanser, will remove rust, tarnish, and small blemishes on stainless steel. Use only the liquid cleanser (free of grit) and be sure rub in the direction of the metal grain lines with a damp soft sponge. If the stainless steel is scratched, using this cleaning method can often help reduce the appearance of the scratches. For visible scratches, there is not an approved repair method to cover the scratches. - These suggestions should only be used on non-coated stainless. We do hope this helps. Kind regards - Vikki@Café
