Hello CoffeeYumYum - We are glad to hear that you love your coffee maker! Thank you for your question; we are glad to assist. There is not a specific recommendation for descaling or for changing the filter. It should be done as needed, depending on the quality of your water supply and how frequently the coffeemaker is used. If you have very hard water or just poor water in your area, you might find you need to descale and/or change the filter once a month. If your water is good, every few months (or more) may be all you need. We are sorry to hear that the scheduler on the app does not work and is buggy.
