Yes with the adapter you can use EF lenses without the adapter you use RF lenses.

The Canon mount adaptors were designed to take EF lenses to the new EOS R & RP models. Please, take the original Canon brand not the cheap Chinese-made gray market that will only give a problem in the future. Canon has technology embedded in its software that records fake third party equipments were used during operation. Your WARRANTY will be not accepted.

The canon EOS R & RP models required lens mount adaptor to use old EF lenses. Canon offered three different level of adaptors for these problems.
