I just bought this adapter yesterday. But it DOES NOT fit the Canon Mark 5d IV. The smooth part of the adapter where the red dot is, is to insert a lens. and the side with only one white dot it to insert into the camera. this adapter is more to use the Canon 5d Mark IV lenses on older cameras.
