• Most of the differences between the original Canon PowerShot G9X vs the newer mark II are subtle, e.g. the newer camera has better bluetooth connectivity options (such as transferring pictures directly to your cell phone). However, one of the bigger differences between the two cameras is the processor. The G9X mark II has a newer, more powerful Digic 7 processor. This facilitates quite a few improvements, including a higher continuous shooting rate and better focus tracking. This also makes a big difference for those interested in shooting in the RAW picture format. Otherwise, both cameras are quite similar.
