“I have this camera. I recharged the battery and reinstalled it. I get a message asking if the battery is a cannon - I reply, yes. I get a message stating the battery may be counterfeit and the camera is closing for my protection. What is the problem?”

• I believe its a bad battery.

• This is very odd I’ve never heard of this before, go by your nearest Best Buy, and talk to one of the sales people on the camera department and tell them about this problem, or call Canon direct.
