Whether the eclipse glasses for over prescription glasses depends on the style of the prescription glasses. I personally wear glasses with a thin metal frame on the upper half of 2 1/4 x 1 1/2-inch lenses and the eclipse glasses fit over them. Glasses larger than these would likely not fit under the eclipse glasses.
