• There is a buckle but it’s pretty thin and flat on top of a flat plastic piece so it should be ok

• No. The only buckle is on the front part. It’s very comfortable and easily adjustable

• The rear of the Chesty where the shoulder straps connect down to the straps that go around your chest are stitched together, so that shouldn't be an issue. There are adjustment buckles on the shoulder straps and on both sides of the chest strap, but those typically land on your chest for the shoulder straps and under your arms or more toward your front on the chest straps. For most wearers, none of these buckles would dig into you while you're riding a recumbent.
