- Answer The device does have google tv free channels, but it’s over the internet. You would need an app and some service to provide local channels.

- Answer The device is one time purchase but for the apps there may be a fee for their service. No locals unless you have an app to provide. No tuner installed for antenna.

- Answer Yes it will, as long as you make sure you are on the right HDMI channel (that mistake is made often especially if you never used one before) it works the exact same way as the first gen chromecast did.

QuestionI'd like to have a remote for my Chromecast. It's annoying to try to control my shows with the apps. But I don't allow voice activated devices in my home. Can you disable the voice features and just use the buttons?

- Answer Nope, there are no ports on the remote. Just an IR blaster and a covered slot for the AAA batteries. The Chromecast itself can connect to wireless headphones via Bluetooth though

- Answer You don't need to be a YouTube Premium subscriber to use it. Any media purchased via Google TV is available to stream in the menu. You can download many of the same streaming service apps as your phone. Sling, Plex, and Vudu are a few of those.
