• Spectrum TV app works to cast to the Chromecast with Google TV when a phone or tablet is used to cast/control it. But the Spectrum TV app is NOT available to download directly to the device and control with the included remote. Disappointed to discover this after purchasing. Roku devices can run the Spectrum TV app directly on the device and be controlled with the Roku remote. The Spectrum app runs well on Roku. Expected the same functionality on this new Chromecaset with Google TV without having to do work arounds but it’s not there yet.

• Based on the response from Google Team, I bought this item. However, when I try to load the Spectrum TV app on Google Chromecast with Google TV, I can't even download it - I get a voice prompt that says "Sorry Spectrum app is not available on this TV but here are some other apps" .

• Vizio TV’s house all apps on the cloud & have Chromecast “built in” except you cannot download any apps including the Spectrum app. I purchased a Google Chromecast device with a remote thinking that it would work so I could get my Spectrum channels, WRONG. TV displayed the following: “Sorry, Spectrum isn’t available on this TV, but here are some other apps that are...” You can Cast or Airplay from your iPhone but why do that? It wastes the battery life on your phone & then worse, no one else can manipulate the TV because the functionality is only on your phone. Vizio needs to pre-install the Spectrum app on their TV’s & do an update on Vizio TV’s that have already been purchased.

• As of now, January 2021, the Spectrum App is not available on Google TV. If you want to watch Spectrum, you will have to cast from within the Spectrum TV app on your phone.

• Yes but you have to change your settings to developer and have the URL of the spectrum tv app
