I'm the person who asked this question and I just confirmed that no Lorex apps (my question was VERY specific) are available on the platform, which makes the device useless for me. I will be returning it to the store and I'm disappointed that the google "support" team wasn't able to answer my simple question in a direct manner (resembling microsoft BTW)

You can check the Play Store using the voice remote for apps that are compatible with the Chromecast with Google TV. When you browse or search for apps on your device, all the apps you see will work on Chromecast.
