“Will this allow me to connect a portable music player to my TV, if so how would I connect it. I have a portable bluetooth music device. I can hook it up to my phone and whatever is playing on my phone will play on this device. I want to be able to connect my TV to the device and play anything on my TV through this device. Would this do that? If so how would I pair the two without a third party device to connect them? If this will not work do you know of anything that will?”

This is exactly what I wanted to do, and yes - this will work on your TV.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I was not the one who did all the connections in my TV. Everything was done by best buy. But the Sony TV that I bought has 2 USB cable and 2 HDMI. I did use a flash drive to watch my photos, videos and my music.
